The InnoVets® program stands as Boston’s premier Veteran- and Gold Star Family-focused business incubator. It’s meticulously crafted to connect, inspire, and bolster military Veterans and Gold Star Families as they embark on their entrepreneurial journey. Operated under the Massachusetts Fallen Heroes® organization, InnoVets serves as a beacon of support and opportunity, providing the necessary resources and guidance for Veterans and Gold Star Families to establish and expand their businesses.
CodeX: Cybersecurity & IT Training for Veterans
IZR Tech is honored to collaborate with InnoVets in delivering CodeX, a comprehensive program designed to provide cybersecurity and IT education, training, mentorship, and job placement assistance for military veterans. Through this partnership, IZR Tech and InnoVets work together to support veterans in their transition to the civilian workforce.
The CodeX program equips veterans with the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to pursue careers in cybersecurity, cloud computing, or software development. It offers free courses and training in a hybrid format, combining online resources with in-person sessions at the Emond Center for Engagement (ECE) in Boston. Additionally, participants receive ongoing mentorship and coaching from experienced members of IZR Tech’s technical and engineering teams.
This initiative extends its support beyond veterans to include Gold Star Family members, military families, and military spouses, recognizing the importance of providing opportunities for all those connected to the military community. Through CodeX, IZR Tech and InnoVets aim to empower individuals with the tools and resources needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving field of technology.
CodeX Program: Vision for the Future
The inaugural class of CodeX students is set to commence their courses later this year, delving into a diverse array of subjects encompassing Windows, Mac, and Linux systems, as well as Offensive Security, Compliance/Regulations, Cyber Defense, Threat Hunting, Incident Response, AWS, and more.
Looking ahead, IZR Tech, alongside a consortium of its premier technology partners, is committed to furthering the CodeX initiative by collaborating with InnoVets to facilitate job placement efforts. Building on the success of the program’s launch in Boston, InnoVets has ambitious plans to scale the CodeX program nationally within the next one to two years. This expansion will broaden the reach of the program, extending its benefits to veterans across the country and reinforcing the commitment to empowering military personnel in their transition to rewarding careers in cybersecurity and IT.
